THE CHALLENGE

Creating the first USDA Organic certified line of soft drinks, energy drinks and iced teas.

OUR APPROACH

BeyondBrand’s partners Eric Schnell and Steven Kessler worked to co-create one of the first organic supply chains for Sri Lankan green tea in 2002 and pioneered the category at a time when the US consumer was starting to migrate towards healthier options in the beverage isle.

SOLUTIONS & TACTICS

Major marketing and sampling efforts planned regionally over a 4 year period in order to build shelf space next to mainstream teas while engaging the consumer with education on organic vs conventional agriculture while delighting them with better tasting teas without compromise on taste and function.

The Steaz brand won over a dozen Best of Awards including BevNET’s Best New Product of the Year award 4 times as well as New Hope’s Sustainable Business of the Year Award in 2007.
