During his time leading natural foods at Kroger, sales grew to over $16B to become the #1 grocery retailer for natural and organic products in 2017. With a consumer and data-centric approach to growth, Mathis uncovered and built customized and sustainable marketing and sales growth platforms for hundreds of brands across Center Store and HBC, and for other leading retailers including Whole Foods and The Fresh Market, where he held various leadership positions earlier in his career.
